Chelsea will WIN Premier League this season if they complete Romelu Lukaku transfer thanks to incredible Drogba omen

CHELSEA will complete an extraordinary Triple Crown of instant Premier League glory if Romelu Lukaku returns – AND an awesome omen comes good.

Didier Drogba and David Luiz won the top-flight in their comeback seasons at Stamford Bridge in 2014-15 and 2016-17 respectively.

And striker Lukaku can round off a magnificent seven-year treble for the Blues, should his £97.5million switch from Inter Milan go through in the next few days as expected.

That would be a staggering stat, almost as awesome in itself as dethroning a Manchester City side for whom Jack Grealish’s £100m signing pips Lukaku to the English club-record fee.

It would also show that, statistically, football can be a game of both two halves AND three-thirds – with Belgium superstar Lukaku the final part.

All-time great Blues’ frontman Drogba had already won three Prem titles and the Champions League when he returned to lift a fourth top-flight crown under Jose Mourinho.

And two years later Brazil centre-back Luiz came back to notch his only Prem success, although he did win Europe’s top prize alongside Drogba in 2011-12.

Now it’s Lukaku’s turn.

And apart from exciting recent history, Chelsea fans can point to his being a far more pivotal re-signing than Drogba and Luiz.

Ivory Coast superstar Drogba was 36 when he rejoined for a nostalgic one-year stint as a bit-part player and dressing room leader.

And Luiz’s £34m capture from PSG for a second spell at the Bridge surprised many, due to his flamboyant but inconsistent style.

In contrast, Chelsea believe Lukaku, 28, is the best forward they could realistically recruit.
